I have seen multiple winter pictures of Partnachklamm and it always looked fantastic so since weeks I was after finally seeing it with my own eyes and last Sunday it was so far: we drove to GaPa, with a stroke of luck found a spot at overfilled Olympia-Skistadion parking and even managed to buy a 2.50eur parking ticket thanks to a kind stranger giving me 10c I was missing 🙂
The way and everything about Partnachklamm is all marked and well described here and it is more than worth queuing up to see that wonder. We made a round tour and took the way back via Partnachalm (that stunning view from there!!!) and Höhenweg – and it was also premiere for Black Diamond trail poles we purchased recently! And they came very useful as it was fairly slippery. It was a super beautiful day, it was cold in the Klamm (always is I think) but otherwise sunny and warm already – almost a summer feeling when sitting in the sun -minus the snow 😉 Overall, a fantastic experience – and probably last chance this season to see those incredible ice formations! And we will be back in summer to climb the bridge and try other routes.
