Free Friday afternoon at Garda, absolutely perfect hiking weather: sunny, windy but still warm so off I go to see if the tour to Punta Larici is as spectacular as they say – eg. here https://www.alpinegardaholiday.it/en/blog/punta-larici-a-fascinating-view-suspended-between-lake-garda-and-the-ledro-valley/
Quick ride from Riva to Pregasina (I’ve been there by e-bike couple of years ago!), last bit up to the parking by the church is really narrow but enough parking places there. Route is well marked: I take the steep path with the amazing lake view, no people on the way with me, only some coming back. Truly spectacular! Plenty surfers and sailors still visible on the water. Super windy on the top but my god, so beautiful! I took a while there, taking those views in: Limone directly under, Malcesine on the other side, Monte Baldo in clouds and the southern tip of Garda visible in the sun slowly moving to hide between the mountains. So pretty!
I take another route down, going through the forest so it’s quicker. I will defo come back here to include Monte Palaer and do a bigger round tour – so worth it!
