I usually avoid hikes that go up and down the same route, it’s always nicer to make a loop but today I didn’t care as the path was so pleasant, that I was happy to walk it both ways! 1.5h drive from home into beautiful Ostallgäu, with lush green meadows and yellow dandelions, with snowy peaks as the backdrop. A dream!
The route to Breitenberg is easy to follow, no tricky turns and the first part goes steady up but it gets easier. It takes 2.5h to Ostler Hütte, it has open to go. A few people on the top but not too many, Aggenstein looking majestic and Neuschweinstein visible far in the background! Lovely view from the top – and 1.5h and almost 10km to make it back to the car, wonderful day 😍
