It’s been a while since I’ve been here – and it’s always nice to see Ludwig’s dream castle again, this time from yet another perspective! I’ve had Säuling on my list do a while, it’s a very visible mountain and as it turns out, a fun one to climb. I was supposed to go alone but met Tina while searching for a parking spot so we went together – it’s cool to have good company and if they happen to take good peak photos, it’s even better!
First part is going through the forest, up up, off you go, nothing to see there. Fun part starts right above Säulinghaus: partly Klettersteig, partly Kraxelei, so right up my alley!

It takes a while to reach the peak – and it was a hot day today so it felt extra difficult. But once you there, you have not one but two peaks to chose from! One with cross and another one, less busy, with even better view:

And then it’s time for Kraxelei down, obligatory visit in Säulinghaus and back to parking lot. Great day but somehow I am more tired after this 1 peak, than after 4 days in Brenta 😅
